The Best Deals on Black Friday Beds

Come the day after Thanksgiving there will be all kinds of Black Friday deals on beds. If you’re on the hunt for a new mattress set, we know it’s going to be tempting to go with the best deal you can find, but before you buy, take a look at the top three beds of 2013. On Black Friday, there’s no reason your comfort and finding a good price can’t be equally important.

Simmons Beautyrest. This innerspring mattress received good marks across the board. It comes in a variety of firmness and comfort levels and specializes in isolating movement with its pocketed coils, meaning it’s good for anyone sharing their bed. The only possible negative is that users report this mattress may wear out faster than others.

Where to buy on Black Friday: your best bet is probably Sears, which will be offering discounts as well as optimal delivery. But if you’re heading out solely to find Black Friday deals on beds, head directly to a mattress store and try out as many as you can.

Tempur-Pedic. The Tempur-Pedic is a memory foam mattress, and would make a luxurious addition to anyone’s bedroom furniture. It’s rated as comfortable as well as durable and has the long warranty to back that up. Possible downsides? It can reportedly get a little warm, and the body-molding magic of memory foam can make it tricky to move around.

Where to buy on Black Friday: Sleep Country. In addition to sales, Sleep Country is known for being susceptible to a little haggling on their big brands. They’ve got some room to play with their listed prices, and they can definitely throw in delivery.

Sealy Posturepedic. The Posturepedic, like the Beautyrest, is an innerspring mattress. Also like the Beautyrest, it comes in a variety of models and has based a lot of its reputation on movement isolation. Unfortunately that means the Posturepedic and Beautyrest have the same potential downfall: limited durability. For those who prefer innerspring mattresses to memory foam, it all comes down to personal preference.

Where to buy on Black Friday: Macy’s. The department chain always offers great deals on Black Friday, which will mean big savings on beds.

For those who are in the market for bunk beds, futons, or other smaller bedroom furniture investments, we highly recommend IKEA. Those everyday low prices get even lower on Black Friday, and the furniture is a big step up from what they were offering even just a few years ago.
