Best Deals on Black Friday Stereos

There are some things you can cheap out on and hardly anyone will notice. Cook wear, small appliances, DVD players, even TV brands. Unless you’re fanatical about whatever it is you’re doing with those things, you probably won’t notice a difference in quality. Unfortunately for your wallet, stereo systems appear nowhere on that list. A good speaker system versus a not-so-good one is apparent to even the most casual of listeners. That’s why big sale events like Black Friday are so important to your home theatre or car stereo set-up.

Radio Shack has traditionally been one of the best places to buy stereo equipment on Black Friday. Not only do they have good Black Friday deals, but their staff are ultra-knowledgeable about stereo audio. Stereo sales, no matter how excellent, will do you no good if you’re not buying the right equipment and if you can manage to corner a sales associate on Black Friday, he or she will be able to point you in the right direction. Just don’t let them get you with the add-ons.

For those who know just what they want, Walmart may be an even better shopping choice. Every year they offer early bird or door buster specials on home theatre and speaker systems. Samsung models in particular tend to get knocked down in price, sometimes by as much as 50%. Kenwood also sees a big price reduction on Black Friday at Walmart. Best Buy and Sears offer Black Friday deals on Samsung speakers as well. If you’re looking for something close to the base model, head to Walmart. Anything a little more upscale and you should skip the Walmart chaos for one of the other options.

For those who are very into their stereo systems, well, you’ve probably already scoffed at our Walmart and Sears recommendations. You know you’ll want to hit your local stereo specialty store or electronics parts store to see what offers they have on subwoofers, amplifiers, or anything else you want for your home or car stereo. If shopping in-store on Black Friday doesn’t suit you, check online sources like Parts Express or Madisound. Even Amazon may have exactly what you’re looking for, and they’ll throw in free shipping.

With the holiday season on its way, Black Friday really is the best time to amp up your various stereo systems. How would you drive around blasting Have a Holly Jolly Christmas otherwise? We just don’t know.
